Freshen Up

We featured this ruffle bench in Fischers Homearama House earlier this year, it created a lot of buzz and definitely demands some attention. HOW TO: We custom made this to fit the size of the wooden bench underneath and added cushion on top, it is made out of all burlap which runs about 5.00 a yard. This look is easy, cheap and removable so you can change out your looks as often as you like.

I also want to talk about the window shelf, this is a fun new way to address a window. HOW TO: 1st find a shelf that fits your window size (in my case I used three to fit the two small windows and one large in the center) add some fun letters, old mason jars filled with beans etc. and some old wooden crates and you have yourself a fresh new look!

Villa of Texture

This Villa is all inspiring, where do I even begin? The cobble stone walls seem to be a good place to start, this is the heart of the space and where its character begins. The detail that has gone into this space is spectacular with its wooden beams going across every window and door, the tucked away library above the spiral staircase overlooking the great room, the outdoor patio space with that great hidden stone fireplace to the left and dont forget to look up at the silverware chandelier.

I always talk about textures and how that alone can make a huge impact, sometimes you dont need alot of color and this space nailed it.

Magical Nursery

I love this nursery it is so classy and clean, I will be saving this picture for my future baby :). This room is great for a boy or girl just change out the bedding, pillows and window treatment to a salmon pink. I would also put a nursery rhyme or a song that reminds you of your baby in the prints above the chest.

Classically Chic

Every wall is addressed in this space with many different notes of texture. Multiple layering of un hung art above the fireplace, the faux wall blends beautifully against the classic limestone fireplace, natural tones of linen upholstery, great lighting elements (some of these can be found in my shop), and lastly a elegant pair of silk panels that come to a soft puddle at the bottom.

Where do I begin, this space is so chic it does not need a introduction. Lets start with the bookcase it comes almost to the ceiling and the vintage brown wrapped books stacked random makes this piece the statement of the room, the number chairs with a woven burlap pattern are genius, can you image those candle sticks when they are lighting up the room? The patina/antiqued mirror tucked in the corner is so subtle and yet it has such a wow factor.
